I am passionate about helping others in need of food, clothing, housing, and medical attention. I serve the community by giving hope for a better way of life. Worship Services: Weekly services: Sunday morning worship at 11:30 a.m., midweek services at 7:30 p.m., and evening services at 3:00 p.m.

Special services: Christmas Eve, Easter, and other holidays.

Music events: Concerts, choir performances, and worship bands.

Community Outreach Serve Sunday Dinner at 1:30 p.m. Food banks and pantries: Providing food assistance to those in need.

Clothing drives: Collecting and distributing clothing to the homeless and needy.

Habitat for Humanity: Service as referral agency; Participating in building projects to provide affordable housing. Disaster relief: Responding to natural disasters and providing aid to affected communities.

 

 

 

The Lord's Supper 

Each time I take on a new project, I make sure it aligns with my core set of values I know I can deliver great results. Jacob’s Well Unity Church of Christ honor The Lord's Supper, also known as Communion or Holy Eucharist, is a Christian sacrament observed by most denominations. It commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples before his crucifixion.

We observe the Lord's Supper as: Bread: Represents the body of Christ. Wine: Represents the blood of Christ. Significance: Commemoration: It serves as a remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice for humanity.

Communion: It symbolizes the spiritual union of believers with Christ and with one another.

Transformation: It is believed to be a source of spiritual nourishment and transformation.

Practices:  The frequency of celebrating the Lord's Supper varies among different denominations. We Some celebrate it Monthly.

Open where anyone is welcome to participate. Symbols: The bread and wine may be distributed in different ways, such as intinction separate elements.

Theological Interpretations: Real Presence: Some denominations believe that the bread and wine are miraculously transformed into the literal body and blood of Christ. Spiritual Presence: Jacob’s Well Unity Church of Christ  believe that the bread and wine are symbolic representations of Christ's presence.

Children Church Ministry 

Jacob’s Well Unity Church of Christ Children's church ministry offer a variety of engaging and educational activities to help young people learn about God and grow spiritually. Here are some common activities: Bible Storytelling: Using props, costumes, and music to bring Bible stories to life.

Activities Creating and performing shows based on Bible stories. Drama and skits: Acting out Bible stories. Music and Worship Singing songs: Teaching children to sing worship songs and hymns.

Playing instruments: Introducing children to simple instruments and teaching them to play. Movement activities: Incorporating movement and dance into worship. Games and Activities

Crafts: Creating crafts related to Bible stories or themes. Games: Playing games that teach biblical principles or promote teamwork and cooperation. Puzzles and coloring: Activities that develop fine motor skills and concentration. Service Projects Community outreach: Participating in service projects to help others.

Recycling and conservation: Learning about environmental issues and taking action. Acts of kindness: Performing random acts of kindness for others. Special Events Vacation Bible School (VBS): Week focus on teaching children about the Bible and having fun. Children's retreats: Weekend retreats for spiritual growth and fellowship. Christmas and Easter programs: Special events to celebrate these holidays. By offering a variety of engaging activities, children's church ministries can help young people develop a love for God, a strong sense of community, and a desire to serve others.  We offer coats and hats to the needy during the winter season. We also offer a shoebox gift for a boy and a girl, ages 1-13. Our Angel Tree allows you to pull a name and purchase a gift from the story. Our Children at Play event is a fun time for children to come together and share the love of Christ in their hearts. We allow them to read the word of God according to their grade level and express their feelings about the love of God. We teach them that God is love and that they must love and respect each other. Bring your child to join our team at Children at Play!

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Jacob’s Well Unity Church of Christ Bible Study mid-week Scripture: The written word of God. 

Bible: A collection of sacred texts. 

Old Testament: The first part of the Bible, containing the Hebrew Scriptures. New Testament: The second part of the Bible, containing the Christian Scriptures. 

Gospel: The good news of Jesus Christ. Apostle: A person appointed by Jesus to spread his message. 

Prophecy: A prediction or revelation of future events. 

Parable: A simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. Study Methods Exegesis: The careful interpretation of a biblical text. Hermeneutics: The theory and practice of interpretation. Context: The circumstances surrounding a biblical text. 

Theme: A central idea or topic in a biblical passage. 

Application: The practical relevance of a biblical text to one's life. Spiritual Growth Discipleship: The process of becoming a follower of Jesus Christ. 

Sanctification: The process of being made holy. 

Conversion: The turning away from sin and toward God. Salvation: The deliverance from sin and eternal punishment. Faith: Trust in God and his promises. 

Doctrine: A belief or teaching. Tradition: A custom or practice that has been passed down through generations. Denomination: A religious group that shares common beliefs and practices. 

Intertextuality: The relationship between different texts. The official list of books accepted as part of the Bible. 

 Join us for power pack anointed Bible Study at 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM! Our focus is the facts of  life. How to make decisions according to the word of God.  "And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is hear, o Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And you shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment".  And the second is like, namely this, you shalt love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31) The principle of God’s word is to understand it, believe you can do all things through Christ which strengthen you.  We trust Him to make us holy in God’s sight and help us live a happier life.
